AppSight |
AppSight
consists of the AppSight system level console and Black
Box Flight Recorders. The Black Boxes are installed
locally and on remote sites where they function like
aircraft flight recorders, recording events as they
occur. The Black Boxes are activated, deactivated and
configured from the AppSight console or locally where
installed. The resulting trace information is saved
to a log file, and analyzed on the AppSight system level
console.
AppSight pinpoints and provides analysis for application
failures at the User level: mouse movement and
clicks, keystrokes, screen operations, and error messages,
and the System level: static and dynamically
loaded DLLs, registry access and operations, file operations,
communication channels, networks connections, processes,
etc. Both levels are synchronized for simultaneous analysis.

Diagnose
software problems by recording runtime information on
applications' executions, interactions with the operating
system and the system resources on the fly. |
Synchronize
the information with recorded user input and screen output,
replay a problematic scenario like a movie - see what
the user saw, understand the operations performed by the
computer and pinpoint the root causes of the encountered
problems. |
Access
complete system configuration information for troubleshooting
DLL conflicts, installation problems, hardware or OS incompatibilities,
etc. |
Quickly
identify problems that occur during execution such as
file sharing violations, synchronization problems, COM
object registration, user interactions and more
Clearly
understand the details of encountered problems in cases
where programs produce cryptic messages, do not function
properly or simply crash. |
Work
on either third-party applications or internally developed
programs. |
Record,
playback and analyze multiple applications and multiple
instances of the same application simultaneously. |
Easily
navigate a recorded scenario - play recordings full-speed,
fast-forward, rewind, pause, or go step-by-step through
application events. |
Filter
and select specific application behaviors to be investigated. |
Modifying
or preparing the applications to be recorded is not required. |
